Waikawa Bay School is a small contributing primary school situated in the residential area of Waikawa Bay, Picton, which has the backing of a strong community. In 1928 the school was completely destroyed by a fire. A temporary school was established until the Waikawa Bay School opened on the current site in October 1929.
