Ngaio School Library Welcome

We are closed during morning tea but open during lunchtime. Borrow books, read books and magazines, use iPads, find information for inquiry learning, hear about new books, visit with your class and during lunchtimes you can also draw, colour in, make paper planes, glue paper together, play card games, talk with your friends and other quiet.

Wednesday, 30 November 2016. Dear parents, thank you for all the wonderful contributions for pack the bus. The children had a super santa morning. Thursday, 22 September 2016. The children having a go. Children enjoyed listening to the drumming. We did some Australian aboriginal art and made Chinese dragons. A fun time was had by all! Wednesday, 21 September 2016. On Monday, the all of Pohutukawa spent the middle block outside with the crew from Kelly Sports. It was a big thank you from the teachers for being such AMAZING learners this year. There were all kinds of activities, from net throwing and targets to never ending tag and basketball skills! Well done Pohutukawa, you have been fantastic! Wednesday, 30 November 2016.

Thursday, 26 May 2016. WORLD OF MATHS session with wonderful Room 12 students! Hands-on Maths is so fun! We worked in groups of 3-4. WE LOVED IT! Thursday, 19 May 2016. We love our buddy time! Friday, 12 February 2016. Room 13 had a wonderful first week back at school! To make things more exciting, we had swimming and gym on Friday. Here are some photos of our fun Friday.

Wednesday, 17 August 2016. We are very excited to share our calendar art. Room 17 was inspired by art work from NZ artist Yaniv Janson and Rio de Janeiro. Wednesday, 14 December 2016. Tuesday, 6 December 2016. This week, Pohutukawa syndicate are doing an arts rotation in the afternoon. First session for Room 21 was in Room 21, where we made handprint Rudolphs. Monday, 5 December 2016. Pohutukawa syndicate had a great morning with Kelly Sports. We rotated around 12 different activities, doing lots of throwing and catching, aiming, zig zagging , batting and kicking and. Tuesday, 29 November 2016.
