How to leave a comment. Wednesday, 14 November 2012. Today many Halcombe children went to Feilding to try and catch a glimpse of Prince Charles and Camilla. Azi from Room 3 was one of the lucky children who was waiting in Manchester Square to see the Royal couple and she was dressed in her finest hoping to meet them. Have a look at what happened.

Friday, 12 April 2013. We went to the hall to watch some drummers. The drums were very loud and noisy. When the drummers banged hard the noise was louder. When the drummers banged softly the noise was quiet. The drummers moved their arms very fast. We thought the drummers were amazing. Thank you Miss Campbell for organising the drummers for us today. Thursday, 13 August 2015. In our Science topic - Sound, we have been learning about pitch. Higher pitch is caused when sound waves move through the air causing FAST vibrations. Low pitch is caused when sound waves create SLOWER vibrations. We experimented creating different pitch - using various objects. eg; we filled jars of water and hit them with a spoon to create lower, higher and highest pitch. Most of us predicted it would make a higher pitch! Tuesday, 11 August 2015.
We are excited for MATHS WEEK! This week is maths week and in room 4 we are going to be putting our brains into overdrive. We are going to challenging ourselves with daily dollar questions, a maths trail with the rest of the senior team, problem solving brain teasers, and our very own Halcombe School Senior Mathex challenge. We are ready to go! Congatulations to our Yr5 Mathex team! They are very proud of their effort and we, too, are all very proud of them! CRAZY DAY IS COMING! .
